NSS & SNA

NSS: NSS is an extension dimension to the higher education system to orient the student youth to community service while they are studying in educational institutions.

SNA: The members of these councils are nominated by the students based on their academic performance, aptitude for organizing co-curricular/extra-curricular activities and communication skills. The council has positions like President, Secretary, Treasurer and other office bearers. The Council members involve in promoting, extra-curricular activities such as sports, cultural, literary events, NSS, orientation programs and co-curricular activities viz., quiz competitions, health and hygiene camps at outreach areas, environmental awareness programs and anti-ragging and gender sensitization programs. Student Councils organize important National and International days/weeks of relevance. The students have received National Award by the UGC for the short film on Anti-ragging which is a testimonial of the student’s involvement.

World Encephalitis Day

World Encephalitis Day Awareness Program was conducted by SEA College of Nursing, Bangalore on 23/02/23. Nursing students gave health education to patients and family members in PHC, Avalahalli, Bangalore.

TEACHER'S DAY

BLOOD DONATION PROGRAMME

PULSE POLIO PROGRAMME

The Pulse Polio Initiative was started with an objective of achieving hundred per cent coverage under Oral Polio Vaccine. It aimed to immunize children through improved social mobilization, plan mop-up operations

NURSES DAY

International Nurses Day is on 12 May each year, to mark the contributions that nurses make to society. The day also coincides with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.

WOMENS DAY

International Women's Day is an occasion to celebrate the progress made towards achieving gender equality and women's empowerment but also to critically reflect on those accomplishments.

HEALTH CAMP

Health Camps are mobile and are conducted in different locations by qualified doctors, nurses, and paramedics and community health workers. In most cases, these health camps are funded by NGO's, Trusts or renowned Hospitals.
